JLaTeXeditor svn version 801 crashes regularly under MacOS 10.6.3

Description

Hoi,
since today, JLatexEditor continually crashes for me. I use it under MacOS.
After restarting usually what goes wrong is when I first try to typeset, then immediately
the editor becomes unresponsive (the Apple sign for unresponsiveness, the coloured
wheel starts to show, and never finishes with an activity).
I first thought that I perhaps might have opened too many tabs (I had two rows of them)
and removed them after restarting, and worked only in one or two tabs.
But now the editor became again unresponsive with only one tab containing a very
small latex file.
In the activity manager, however, the following line concerning JLatexEditor may be
interesting:

440 jlatexeditor.JLatexEditorJFrame (Not Responding) clemens 0.0 80 193.8 MB Intel (64 bit)

showing 80 threads much more than any of the other programs (currently I have open
also thunderbird with 19 threads). But I don't know whether that helps as an information

The activity window of JLatexeditor itself shows "48 of 79M"

Kind greetings to you,

thanks for all of your work at the editor,

Clemens.

Does this bug still exist?

Today I fixed another "JLE does not respond anymore" bug that appeared when you updated from svn via JLE and you did not yet authenticate with svn. I don't think that these bugs are related, but I'm not completely sure.

  • status changed from new to closed
  • resolution set to invalid

Originally caused by putting the process into background via "./start.sh &" which seems to work different on Mac OS X compared to Linux.
